Semester 4 - NGO Training Centre

In my semester 4 degree programme, I have been given the project to design a new NGO office and training centre. The organization which my lecturer appointed to me was the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The first task of it, I need to understand their problems and how to promote the organizations, thus, I have to traveled to their office and interview with their representatives in order to find out more about them  rather than depending on the internet out sources.

After getting the information from them, the lecturer asked us to design a kiosk for NGO, which can help them to promote their programmes and activities, so that the organization can grow in the numbers of people that will volunteer to help the NGO.

Below is the design of the kiosk. It is a 2m X 2m size kiosk before it is opened up for full operation. However, the touch screen interactive panels still can be operate via the movement sensor which is installed. the entire kiosk are built for outdoor, it is water resistance. This kiosk can be extend until 4m x 4m size.

Later on we moved to the design of the proposed site at Jalan Lew Weng Chee off Jalan Yap Kwan Seng. The site was an abandoned residential bungalow unit.The design of the building must included with a hostel or dorm for the trainee. It also must be a green building design Meaning there will be less consumption of energy used and also the air ventilation in the building must be of natural ventilated and environmental friendly.
